Metadatering van de Collectie

This instructive document describes in which way metadata and essence that are (automatically) submitted to the Digital Archive from the various broadcast production systems, via the Digital Facility (DDV), should at ingest be related to the NISV’s selection and appraisal system. The document offers a coherent 3-layer metadata framework for technical, administrative and descriptive metadata (the layers being basic, conditional and enriched metadata) and explains how the incoming metadata flows should be controlled by connecting the metadata to the maintenance level the layers of the framework imply.
